What kind of error message do you get? Is it from in game? The error message I got was something like 'requested A301 and C305 cannot retrieve pbcl error' after joining a game for a few minutes Short version: find punk buster in your bad company 2 folder and re install to repair, download punk buster setup tool to update bad company 2 servers and clients manually (it's really simple and does it for you). I managed to find a web pag on ea help where I could view my cases and when I clicked there after a while a button appeared to chat to a live agent what do you mean update server clients ? I reinstalled punkbuster but I still get an error message. Got in a bit of a mess and ended up duplicating my cases and I think EA help realised this and took away my option to chat and asked me to call instead. My EA help case page didn't look like it was loading after I pressed submit, yours might do the same and I thought I'd lost my case and made another one. They'll add the game to your origin library eventually and then your steam game will recognise that when you log in through the in game EA login. Eventually you should get it a point where you can talk to a live agent and they will ask you questions and they will eventually add the game to your origin library at which point your steam version should recognise it when you log into your ea account in the in game menus. You'll end up creating a case with them where you can attach screenshots. Once you've found the game on ea help site it'll suggest questions and answers but just keep going till it lets you contact them ![]() If you've changed the email of account that has the CD key registered to it (through account settings on Origin's website), log in with the updated email (and password if you've changed it).You need to go to EA help website and you'll be able to search for the game to find help. Make sure the account you used to log in on is the same account you're using to sign in when you boot up the game.īy any chance are you running Steam through adminstrator mode? Not sure if it will solve this issue in particular, but running Steam as an admin is a good idea in general as it's kind of a blanket cover "fix-all-issues" solution to a lot of technical issues. Enter the product code through that and launch Bad Company 2 through Steam again. After clicking that there should be Add A Game at the top right-hand of the webpage.
